Have you recently paid off your car and looking to get the title in your own name? If so, CONGRATS!! Just like many millennial’s, I couldn’t get my first car on my own. I needed my mother to co-sign. After paying off my car, I wanted to get the title in my name.
Here’s how I did it:
1.) You and the owner must be present at the BMV with the original car title and your driver’s license.
2.) Be prepared to provide the mileage on the vehicle.
3.) Have the echeck documentation available.
4.) Be prepared to receive new plates and a new sticker.
5.) YOU’RE DONE! You officially own your car! #adulting
